This week’s Real Wedding was submitted by Hollie Marie Photography, based out of Farmington Hills, MI. I am absolutely in love with Rebecca’s wedding day style! The birdcage veil, the flower and THAT DRESS! Everything works together perfectly. Enough of my gushing, on to the details and a few words from Hollie.

The couple:  Jay and Rebecca Brodie

Location:  Outdoor shots taken in Mill Race Village and surrounding downtown Northville, Plymouth Manor in downtown Plymouth for ceremony and reception.

Their wedding day was wonderful, starting with preparation shots at their home in Northville.  Even Rebecca and Jay’s two dogs were involved.  The highlight of the day for me was being able to take the couple to the exact spot where Jay proposed.  We took advantage of the awesome downtown area of Northville where the proposal happened. Just being in that spot brought out expressions on them both that I never could have reached without being there. Their wedding was truly a joy, I was always having fun with their easy going attitudes, even while posing a group of 30+ relatives!  From the personal vows spoken, to taking pictures the Northville fire station, to the last dance of the night Jay and Rebecca had a picturesque wedding!

Two years ago today, I began a wonderful journey.  A journey filled with love and excitement, support and loyalty. January 25, 2008 was the day I married the love of my life and I am thrilled to celebrate this day with him. My favorite part about all of our photos is looking back and seeing all of the laughter and smiles that filled the day. We seriously had a blast, and I think we will continue to laugh this way for the rest of our lives.

My wedding vows to him, spoken at the altar in front of our family and friends:

When I look into your eyes, I see a future filled with trust, loyalty and never ending friendship. I see kids playing in the backyard, Sunday dinners and us, 80 years old on the front porch holding hands in rocking chairs. I see an amazing man in front of me. A man who will be the greatest husband, and some day, the perfect dad. I am so blessed to have you in my life and I am thankful that I will have the rest of my life to remember this day as the start of something beautiful. I promise to love you through the times we laugh and the times we cry. I promise to kiss you goodnight and hug you every morning. I promise to be my best for you and love you with my whole heart, unconditionally. I love you today, and for the rest of my days.
