There are so many reasons that I love Autumn and nothing beats a day at the Cider Mill. October in Michigan is usually filled with mild temperatures, warm sunshine, beautiful leaves on the trees and delicious cider and doughnuts. It is a tradition that I think would make for the perfect “theme” behind a wedding day. What would be better than a make-your-own caramel apple bar, or a warm cider based signature drink?

To me, one of life’s many simple pleasures is a good cup of coffee. This color board comes straight from the mug! Coffee and cream inspiration.

I love bright colors! They bring a really fun and funky style to any event and August is the perfect month for such a color scheme.

Turquoise is the perfect summer color and when paired with a bright and vibrant red, it makes a great color scheme for July.

I know I have said it for every month, but June is a fabulous time for a wedding. The beginning of Summer, the green grass and leaves on the trees. Full days of sunshine, warm weather (but not too hot!) and the relaxing feeling that only this time of year can bring. My picks for the perfect June colors? Purple and green. Two of my favorite colors!

One of my favorite details of every wedding days is the paper products. I am admittedly obsessed with all things pretty, especially when it comes to stationery. Some of the best details can come in the form of invitations, table numbers and escort cards. Here are a few VERY creative ideas for your escort cards.

May is my favorite month of the year! My birthday, three of my friends’ birthdays, my sister’s birthday and the real beginning of Spring all take place in this fabulous month. The colors I picked for this inspiration board are fresh and remind me of the green grass, the blue skies and the anticipation of beach days.

To me, April means the beginning of spring. What color is better suited for spring than yellow? I am in love with the yellow and black color scheme and I think that it is the perfect contrast for a chic and elegant Spring wedding.

I am a bit obsessed with the color green. My laptop is green, my office is green, most of my clothes are green… it is my favorite color. March is the perfect time for a green wedding. St. Patrick’s Day and the beginning of spring inspire the perfect color scheme for a wedding. If I had it to do all over again, I would have used green in a heart beat!

February is often looked over when deciding on a wedding date, but with all of the Valentine’s Day love going around and the beautiful winter weather, we think that any day in February would make a great day for a wedding.

I may be a bit biased, but January is a beatiuful time for a wedding. Just this past January, my husband and I tied the knot and we used a variation of the color scheme shown below. Beautiful shades of ice blue, silver and white!

Every unconventional wedding starts with an unconventional location. We’ll be discussing more on that next week. Today’s inspiriation board is all about a beach wedding. It includes four different bridal gowns, a couple accessories and the perfect bridesmaid style. One thing to keep in mind for a beach wedding: The sand! Stick with low heels (or no heels, I’d go for flip flops personally!), flowing fabrics and comfortable accessories. As we all know, sand gets everywhere when you are spending a day in the sun. So, why not make it comfortable and elegant?
