You will be able to see the set at full size, if you really want to inspect each one. ;) In order for your vote to count, you have to click the number of your favorite photo in the Poll at the bottom of the post AND leave a comment telling us which one you voted for and why you love it so much. If you don’t do both, your vote will not count, so make sure you follow the rules! Only one vote per email address.

I like this photo because I think that being hand-in-hand on the beach is romantic. It just seems to capture freedom and fun and hopes for the future .
Photo number 5 is my pick. It’s so sweet and real and the muted color and soft light make it feel so dreamy.
Love #10 – the extra lights in the background and the way the couple is framed. Makes this one my favorite!

Capturing something that isn’t an everyday thing is the key to a winning picture. Apples, guitars and kissing happen all the time in engagement photos. Great picture!

I voted for picture #4, Jason Aten Photography. I like the way the shot is framed, but most of all I like how it’s lit. The couple is in almost total darkness, creating a sort of silhouette effect. Very nice.

The lighting effects capture the magic glow love infuses in everything. James’ photo captures the feeling of being the only two people in the world. It is fantastic.
I love the tones and hue of the picture. I chose it because you can definitely tell it is an engagement photo and not a wedding shot or something else. You can tell who is in the picture, unlike some of the pics. It says sweet. Some of the pics were too abstract and unconnented. This one you can definitely put in a frame.

First of all. Personally I know this photographer. However, that is not the only reason why I am voting for this. Look at the couple in the photograph. Just looking at it you can feel the love emerging from the photo. Also, the lighting is used soo well to reflect the water. All in all, just an awesome photo!

#2 Is simple yet elegant, The photo focuses on the couple taking a moment to just relax from their hectic Wedding planning schedule.

I voted for photograph #2 because, while these are ALL beautiful and artistic images (why else would the be finalists?!), this is the only photo that clearly showcases both faces; and even though they don’t have big toothy smiles, in that one photo I get a sense of their quiet contentment, and the easy joy of knowing who you are going to build a life with. All the entries are lovely, but this one (to me) most clearly expresses the dawn of a new marriage (hooray for soft light!). Of course, his beautiful eyes don’t hurt either.
I love (and voted for) #2. All the images are gorgeous, but this photo is so organic, natural and authentic. I can feel the calm, peaceful connection between the couple.

#2 seems so real. They look so comfortable together. Her head on his shoulder, the way she relies on him. His eyes tell a story.

#2 – you look at the picture and feel like you know the couple. their style and interests, and how well they complement each other, are captured perfectly. exactly what an engagement photo should do.
I just don’t understand some of you and your ‘vision’ for photography
#8 and #10 are the only ones that makes sense in these…however many photos there are. Let me tell you why…
#1 – nothin special..cool sepia yay!
#2 – cute. better if the girls eyes were looking. more seductive to people’s eyes.
#3 – my attention is drawn to the apples. dont care about the people. boy is standing awkwardly as well.
#4 – silhouette..how unique. background is boring.
#5 – looks more like friendship then love. just saying. attention is drawn to the bright grass. maybe light up their faces more than the grass. makes the vignette useless.
#6 – yeah i just dont like this one..sorry. guy should not have a black ring on as well. distracting.
#7 – maybe good for a jeans commercial, old navy or something. I dont see engagement. otherwise i really like it. just not for engagement.
#8 – i like this one. my attention is drawn to the colors of the dress and shirt. they are holding hands and i can tell they are in love. better. thank you.
#9 – its looks more like a billboard for a vacation get away. attention is completely drawn to the buildings. i dont see the people whatsoever.
#10 – excellent lighting. and thank you thank you thank you for the kiss. engagement is about the romance my friends. the kiss has won it for me. this by far is the best because it is a night shot (different), snowflakes (different), and kissing(different) good job.

I love a lot of these photos but I am voting for photo #1. It’s so simple, yet it says so much. The color in the photograph makes it less intense and therefore gives it the simply in love look.
